Video of Sehwag's 175 against Bangladesh in Cricket World cup 2011

Sehwag made 175 runs of just 140 balls against Bangladesh in the first match of ICC Cricket World cup 2011. In the process, he made a number of records including the fastest century in World cup cricket. His 175 took India to a score of 370. Sehwag in the inning smashed 14 Fours and 6 sixes.

Highlights of India vs Bangladesh in ICC Cricket World cup 2011 [video]

India has won the first match of ICC Cricket World cup 2011 by 87 runs against Bangladesh. India made 370/4 in 50 overs. In reply of that Bangladesh could only manage 283/9 in 50 overs. Sehwag who eventually got man of the match made 175 for India.

India has made a massive total against Bangladesh in the first match of ICC Cricket World cup 2010. Sehwag and Kohli were the heroes of the match as Sehwag made a massive 175 of 140 balls. Kohli made 100 of 83 balls. Sehwag smashed 14 fours and 5 sixes in his inning. He was bowled in the 48th over by Shakib Al Hasan but by then had caused a lot of destruction. Kohli smashed 2 sixes and 8 fours in his inning.

The first match of Cricket world cup 2011 is between the two host nations - India and Bangladesh in Mirpur, Bangladesh. With wins in its two practice matches, India seems to be in top form. But Bangladesh seems to be a strong side with home advantage.

For a comfortable win, the fast bowlers too need to perform.Bangladesh has openers Tamim and Imrul Kayes in form. Captain Shakib Al Hasan is going to be a key player for the match as well.

Indian Team for ICC World Cup 2011 | Teams and Squad

Indian team for the world Cup Cricket is announced from Chennai. The five members selection commitee finalised the last 15 playing member for the side. Earlier 30-members probable was announced. Rohit Sharma, Sreesanth, Ishant Sharma and pragyan Ojha could not make their place for this mega event.
The team comes as this:
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt/wk), Virender Sehwag (Vice-capt), Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, Praveen Kumar, Yusuf Pathan, Piyush Chawla, R Ashwin, Ashish Nehra.

The team consists of four pacers lead by Zaheer Khan. He will be followed by Ashish Nehra, Munaf Patel and Praveen Kumar. In the spinning department Harbhajan Singh will be helped by off-spinners R Ashwin and leg-spinner Piyush Chawla. Interesting, Piyush Chawla was not playing any ODIs since 2008 July. He's in the squad against SA but hasn't played both the ODIs.

Fitness of Tendulkar was said not be of big concern. Earlier he returned home after playing 1st ODI against SA due to injury. Tendulkar will be fully available for his sixth and maybe last World Cup for Team India.

Rohit Sharma could not find his place in the side before Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli. Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir will be opening the side. But it might be Virat Kohli who will help the team if the duo will be unvailable during any matches in WC. Yusuf Pathan, Yuvraj Singh and Dhoni will be holding keys for the middle order.

The team hasn't picked up any extra wicket-keeper in the 15-man squad. Dinesh Karthik was expected but he also could not make into the side. Interesting to see if Dhoni becomes unavailable or the team can't be resting Dhoni in any match of World Cup.

The first ODI was disastrous for India as they lost the match by a huge margin. As the teams gear up for the 2nd ODI at Johannesburg, South Africa seem to be the favourites. South Africa has the momentum but India can make a great return in the series. India has been criticised for not playing well outside the sub-continent and this may be a great chance to make it false.
